Paying for beauty school can feel like a big obstacle, but with the right budget plan in place, you can do it! There are plenty of resources and tools available to help you attend beauty school without going broke.

Scholarships can help a lot with your beauty school budget. The Joe Francis Hair Care Scholarship Foundation was founded by one of the premier entrepreneurs in the hair care industry. The foundation provides $1000 scholarships to eligible students who are either applying or enrolled in a cosmetology or barbering program. More than 20 scholarships are awarded annually. There are also the Beauty Changes Lives Scholarships, the NCEA Esthetician Scholarship, the Minerva Beauty Scholarship and so, so many more.

And those are just beauty school-specific scholarships! You can also earn scholarships based on your military history, your ethnicity, whether or not your a parent and more. Scholarships take time and effort to apply for, but if it helps you pay for school, it’s worth it!

Are You Eligible for Grants?

A grant is a sum of money given by the government. The U.S. Department of Education offers lots of federal grants to help students pay for college or trade school.
