Jes offers some sage advice to students starting out at VICI, “Allow yourself to have joy knowing that you are doing your best! Fake it ‘till you make it!”

Her rainbow color below is just a small example of the kind of skill she has with color. She also enjoys creating cool blonde looks and has learned to love the challenges of difficult haircuts– how else to get better at something than to keep trying until you do? School is challenging, but she had a little help from her instructors. “I’ll never forget them… they really push you to be the best version of yourself and have your back throughout it all.”

Jes has already landed her first job as a stylist. She starts at Haven Salon in New Berlin on August 4th.
